Southern Minnesota Regional Competitiveness Project: RUPRI Roundtables

The Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF) has partnered with many regional entities, including our colleagues at the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation in Owatonna, to form the Southern Minnesota Regional Competitiveness Project, designed to build a development strategy focused on the key assets within the 38 counties of the southern portion of our state.

We believe this project will help us build on the important work we’ve already done in building our regional capacity for success by getting more leaders with important experience and knowledge involved.

Three roundtable events will be hosted in southwest Minnesota. Dates and locations include:

Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1:30-4:30 p.m., Kandi Entertainment Center, Willmar

Participants will share insights and knowledge as we begin mapping the assets critical to our region’s future.

The video explores four areas that will be critical to the region's future growth and shows examples of progress and innovation in our region today. It is our hope that this video will spark dialogue and brainstorming about how we can help southwest Minnesota adapt and thrive in a changing world.
