“The Willmar Early Childhood Initiative commits to increase school readiness of Willmar children from 50% fully prepared to 65% fully prepared for Kindergarten by Jan. 2009.”

- Created a mini-grant program to enable community programs to access limited pool of coalition funds and increase outreach, quality and education for parents, caregivers and programs in Willmar
- Early Childhood Expo Event
- Imagination Library and Born Learning Parented Projects
- Family Read Aloud at the Fire Station
